Post-Op Breast reduction for men (Gynecomastia) Photos: 6 months
This 35 year old male, who is 5’11 and 167 lbs, from Dutchess County, Upstate, NY, had been experiencing Gynecomastia, or an enlarged male chest, for several years. Gynecomastia is a condition that occurs due to the abnormal development of mammary tissue underneath the male breast, resulting in the breast to become swollen in appearance. It was a condition the patient was not comfortable with and did not like the prospect of removing his shirt in public. He consulted with Dr. Blau, board certified plastic surgeon with over 20 years experience, upon learning that he is respected throughout the world as a leading authority in Gynecomastia surgery and also a well-accomplished author on the subject. Male breast reduction surgery was performed, excising the head and tail of the mammary tissue, along with a small amount of liposuction. The patient is very happy with the outcome of the procedure and feels liberated to be able to remove his shirt in public without feeling self-conscious.
