Post-Op Gynecomastia in Adolescents Photos: 6 months
This 14-year-old male patient with large female-like breasts was unhappy about his condition. It had started at an early age and become much worse as he got older. He found he could not live normal life because friends and peers teased him constantly about his enlarged chest. Typically tubular or severe cases, as can be seen in the above photos, do not resolve on their own (mild cases may dissolve by age17). He talked to his parents and they agreed with him and soon found themselves traveling from Phoenix, AZ for a consultation with Dr. Blau. His surgery involved removal of the head and tail of the overdeveloped breast. After the Male Breast Reduction surgery, his social life has vastly improved.
