This 14-year-old teenager from Houston, TX is 5’ 7” and 170 pounds, and had tubular breasts since the age of nine. His female-like breasts have had a negative impact on his interaction with family, school and his social life. Typically tubular or severe cases, as can be seen in the above photos, do not resolve on thier own (mild cases may dissolve by age 17). He had been teased by his peers relentlessly and, as a result, had started to withdraw from everyone. Fearing for his wellbeing, his parents sought a solution from their pediatrician. As the Gynecomastia condition for the teen became unbearable, the pediatrician recommended surgery, and the parents and teen came from Texas to see Dr. Blau. As you can see by the after pictures, the surgery was a success and resulted in positive changes for the teenager.
