Post-Op Gynecomastia in Adolescents Photos: 6 Month
This is a 17-year-old teenaged patient from Jacksonville, FL who is 5’ 9” and weighs 150 lbs has a good physique, but he could not get rid of his true Gynecomastia condition. His enlarged Male breasts had bothered him since the age 12, but became worse during the last year. Typically tubular or severe cases, as can be seen in the above photos, do not resolve on thier own (mild cases may dissolve by age17). During the initial consultation with the family, Dr. Blau suggested Gynecomastia surgery to reduce the size of the breasts. The family elected to have the surgery, which was a great success. The resulting scar is tiny, and as you can see in the after photos, it not noticeable when the boy removes his shirt. The teenager is much more confident in his appearance and the family is extremely happy with the results of the surgery.
