Post-Op Gynecomastia in Adolescents Photos: 3 months
This is a 16-year-old male patient from Boston, Massachusetts that had traveled with his parents to Dr Blau‘s facility for consultation for his Severe Gynecomastia condition. The enlarged male breasts started at the age of 10 and actually increased in size in the last two years. The patient was embarrassed and therefore refrained from certain activities, such as going to the beach or playing sports at school – he didn’t want “the locker room experience”. He was mortified that both girls and boys at school harassed him about having large breasts. Dr. Blau performed a procedure that involved removing the head and tail of the mammary tissue from the chest area followed by a small amount of surgical sculpture. Post surgery, the patient was more confident and according to his parents, there is a significant improvement in his social life. He is slowly trying to improve his physique by being more physically active.
