This 20-year-old patient from Wilmington, DE had asymmetrical male breasts, where his left breast was significantly larger than his right. It is a condition called unilateral gynecomastia that occurs in nearly one third of all gynecomastia patients. The condition started in early adolescence and did not go away on its own. He decided on plastic surgery when he learned that Dr. Blau is an award-winning sculptor and painter and an accomplished author and world authority regarding gynecomastia surgery. Surgery included removal of the fatty tissue of the larger breast, the right breast was not touched. The patient is now happy with his new chest and is once again happy he can enjoy going to the beach.
