This 18-year-old teenager from Camden County, NJ decided to have male breast reduction surgery (gynecomastia surgery) when he began to feel uncomfortable with removing his shirt in front of his peers. He found out that his condition affected 30 to 60 percent of teenage males and that typically, tubular or severe cases, as can be seen in the above photos, do not resolve on thier own (mild cases may dissolve by age17), and he was referred to Dr. Blau who is a board certified plastic surgeon and a diplomat of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons with over twenty years experience. During the procedure, the head and tail of the glandular tissue was excised as well as removal of fatty tissue by liposculpture. The incision is hidden in an inconspicuous area underneath the areola and it does not show even when this patient removes his shirt.  The young patient is happy with the outcome and no longer feels uncomfortable with his appearance.
