Before and after photos of an 18 year old New Jersey male, who is 6'0 and weighs 165 pounds. He had developed Gynecomastia during puberty, a condition that forms due to the development of mammary tissue underneath the male breast causing and enlargement. Gynecomastia can affect 30% to 60% of adolescent boys from the ages of 8 to 12 year old. Milder cases will often resolve themselves by age 17, but in more severe or tubular cases, the condition will not dissipate with maturity and will remain throughout life. The young man felt self-conscious about the appearance of his chest and did not feel comfortable removing his shirt in public fearing negative attention from his peers. He decided to consult with Dr. Mordcai Blau because he had learned of his superlative reputation as the utmost authority across the globe in Gynecomastia surgery. He was further impressed to learn that over 50% of Dr. Blau's practice is dedicated to the correction of the condition. The patient received male breast reduction surgery, excising the mammary tissue along with a small amount of liposuction. The patient is extremely satisfied with the outcome and feels liberated to remove his shirt without feeling his prior self-consciousness.
