Otoplasty (Ear surgery)
Otoplasty is commonly performed to correct the position of ears that protrude abnormally from the sides of the head, a condition sometimes called "dumbo ears".
Ear surgery results in the repositioning of the protruding ear to a more aesthetically accepted position aligned to the head.
The ear surgery can be performed at any age, but is more commonly done in very young people usually resulting in inconspicuous scars.
As with all cosmetic surgery, results will be rewarding if expectations are realistic. As with any surgery, there are some risks which your doctor will discuss with you.
The following ear surgery before-and-after photos will give you a sense of the results Dr. Blau has achieved in otoplasty surgery. However, each patient is unique and previous results are not a guarantee for individual outcomes.
