About this breast augmentation revisional surgery: This 22 y.o. patient from Englewood, NJ had breast augmentation surgery two years prior by a New Jersey plastic surgeon.

Her breasts appeared to be asymmetric and distorted, the implants had shifted laterally and the lower poles of the breasts appeared to be unnaturally sagging. There was some discomfort and the patient was dissatisfied with the general appearance of her breasts.

Corrective surgery of the breast was performed by Dr. Blau using the old sub-mammary incision. The breast pockets were enlarged medially and inferiorly, the implants were moved to a sub-muscular (pectorals) position, and new implants of a more appropriate type and size were chosen. This was done in order to improve the cleavage and the hanging lower portion of the breast and to create a softer and more natural appearance.

The post-op photo shows a marked improvement. In addition to this surgery, patient also had liposuction of the abdomen. Patient was very pleased with the results. The discomfort subsided. She reports feeling much more comfortable with her improved appearance and an enhanced social life.
