Breast Augmentation and Lift

When the nipple is below the infra-mammary crease, which is the crease under the breasts, this condition is defined as a “saggy breast”. The cause of saggy breasts can be hereditary or can be the result of weight loss and/or childbearing.

Breast Implants (Breast Augmentation) coupled with a Breast Lift (Mastopexy) can improve the contour of saggy breasts by a combining the benefits of a surgical lift with the insertion of breast implants.

With Mastopexy (Breast Lift), there may be temporary bruising and swelling with some discomfort. Any pain can be alleviated with medication. You will be advised to wear a bra (day and night) for the first month. After the Breast Lift, stitches will be removed within two weeks. Scars will be visible, but may fade significantly with time. However, they will never disappear completely. The recovery rate is rapid, with most patients being able to return to work within one week. It is important to avoid strenuous activity, such as lifting, bending, or stretching for about a month.

As with all cosmetic surgery, results will be rewarding if expectations are realistic. As with any surgery, there are some risks which your doctor will discuss with you.

The following mastopexy with breast augmentation before-and-after photos will give you a sense of the results Dr. Blau has achieved in breast implant and lift surgery. However, each patient is unique and previous results are not a guarantee for individual outcomes.
